Q & A
What does your relationship with your clients look like?
I really become part of the family; I am always available to take my clients' calls. I think so many attorneys in this area are solely focused on the business aspect, and they do not want to get too involved in a client's story. But I truly enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level, hearing about their kids and personal affairs. Especially because we are planning for the future of their families, I think it is very important to have that connection.
What makes you unique as an estate planning attorney?
As a Miami native, I have a cultural and language background that many attorneys do not have in this market. Anybody can get a translator into the room, but understanding a client's background from a personal perspective is essential. Clients want to be sure they are getting their point across, from both a linguistic and cultural perspective. What I do is very personal, and the people I work with want to be sure they are 100 percent comfortable that I truly understand every aspect of their situation.
