Bilzin Sumberg Associate Mildred Gomez Appointed To The American Bar Association's Class Of 2009-2011 Fellows Program

Miami, FL – The law firm of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced today that Mildred Gomez, associate in the firm's Tax and Wealth Transfer Groups, was recently appointed as a fellow in the class of 2009-2011 to the Real Property, Trust and Estate (RPTE) section of the American Bar Association (ABA). Mildred is one of three appointed as a Trust and Estate Fellow and will be given the opportunity to have more active involvement as a young lawyer in Section activities.

Mildred has developed her practice in the areas of estate planning, estate tax planning, asset protection planning, generation-skipping transfer tax planning and probate and trust administration. She holds a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, a Master of Education from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.

The Fellowship program provides young lawyers with the opportunity to participate in the substantive work offered within the RPTE Section, while developing into future leaders. To be considered for selection as a fellow, a person must be younger than 36 years of age and have practiced in the trusts and estates or real property area for at least one year. Each fellow must have demonstrated leadership at the state or local bar level or the Young Lawyers Division of the ABA.
