Adam F. Haimo and Lorelei A. Schumacher Elected As New Partners

Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that Adam F. Haimo and Lorelei A. Schumacher were elected as new partners, effective January 1, 2010.  Mr. Haimo joins the partnership in the firm's Litigation Group, while Ms. Schumacher becomes the newest partner in the Real Estate Group.

Mr. Haimo practices in all areas of civil litigation, with experience in all aspects of trial practice in federal, state and appellate courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings.  His experience includes complex commercial litigation, litigation of business torts, construction litigation and other civil matters involving real estate.  Mr. Haimo's practice also includes the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts on behalf of owners, contractors, engineers and architects.  In addition, Mr. Haimo is actively involved in Lawyers for Children America, a child advocacy organization providing pro bono legal representation to abandoned, abused and neglected children in the community.

Ms. Schumacher focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development and complex commercial financing. She is particularly experienced in the hospitality industry and is actively involved in senior and mezzanine debt restructurings on a nationwide basis. Additionally, Ms. Schumacher is an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) network, Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.
