Albert E. Dotson, Jr. Recognized As One Of EBONY Magazines "Power 150 Most Influential Blacks In America"
Miami, Florida, May 28, 2008 For the fourth consecutive year, Albert E. Dotson, Jr., a Partner in the Land Use & Government Relations Group at Bilzin Sumberg, has been included in EBONY Magazine“s "Power 150 Most Influential Blacks in America." The annual list includes prominent leaders in business, politics, law, higher education, and Fortune 500 corporations. Dr. William (Bill) H. Cosby Jr., Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr., and talk show host Oprah Winfrey, are among those who have made the list over the years. Mr. Dotson“s appearance on the 2008 EBONY list is the latest in a series of awards in recognition for his continuous professional and community efforts. This year, as Chairman of the Board of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., an organization with over 10,000 members and 105 chapters across the country, Mr. Dotson was the opening speaker at the national Democratic Presidential Debate in Nevada. At Bilzin Sumberg, Mr. Dotson focuses his legal practice on federal and local government procurement contracts and compliance. He also represents real estate developers in securing land use, zoning and other government approvals and permits for large-scale real estate developments. He routinely negotiates economic development incentive programs on behalf of major U.S. corporate clients. EBONY magazine was first published in November 1945 and is currently the most highly-read African-American magazine in the world. The Power 150 list is compiled by the magazine editors in conjunction with influential dignitaries and opinion leaders throughout the country.
