Bilzin Sumberg is seeking a Document Production Specialist, M-F (10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) and must be available for on-call weekend rotation. The qualified candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a document production specialist in a legal services organization. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Professional (advanced functions), and Workshare Compare. Advanced level production capabilities are an essential requirement for this position and include PDF to Word conversions, document clean-up, formatting, styles, pagination, applying automated numbering outlines, TOC, TOA, Word's cross-referencing and track changes, completing advanced-level projects in Excel and PowerPoint, PDF assembly and bookmarking, insertion of exhibits, graphics and images into documents. Excellent communication and language skills including reading, grammar, spelling and vocabulary are essential. Knowledge of legal terminology, familiarity with iManage, Worksite, Best Authority, PDF Docs and Digital Dictaphone are a plus. Responsibilities include creating, editing and formatting legal documents to firm specifications, proofing legal documents, digital audio transcriptions, time entry and troubleshooting problem documents. The ideal candidate must be flexible, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, interact effectively and work in a team environment with a strong customer service demeanor. Major law firm experience preferred.
