Q & A
How does your international investigation experience help current clients?
I have a nuanced understanding of how to handle the entire gamut of international evidence gathering. There are important time-consuming parameters set by The Hague Convention and other conventions of this nature that must be strictly complied with in terms of foreign service and evidence gathering abroad, and it is key that the attorney handling your case with an international component has mastered these procedures. Over the years, I have learned to effectively navigate diplomatic channels, serve process abroad, obtain documents in foreign jurisdictions, capture necessary testimony, as well as enforce domestic judgments and arbitral awards abroad, and foreign judgments and arbitral awards domestically. My experience, coupled with a strategically curated global network of “boots on the ground” professionals helps me to provide my clients with multidimensional solutions.
What keeps your clients up at night?
Of my clients with business interests abroad, it is the political, social and economic changes occurring globally, and particularly in Latin America.  In today's world, geographical borders do not restrain business.  Monitoring the global landscape informs my decisions and helps shape my legal course of action in a holistic and targeted manner.
