Q & A
What makes a good litigator?
Being an effective litigator is about being indefatigable. You have to possess a willingness to really dive into a case. Maintaining a positive attitude and not getting bogged down by the inevitable redundancies in litigation is key. I always go beyond a simple checklist of what I'm supposed to do and look for creative and innovative ways to bring new theories or possible defenses.
What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
You can’t be afraid to try a case. There is an understanding that most cases will settle but you’ll never get the best results for the client if you’re scared to stand up in a courtroom and advocate for your client.
