Q & A
What is a skill you possess that clients prize?
I pride myself on my attention to detail, which is valued by the clients and critical to my success in construction law practice. In negotiating construction agreements, accounting for and understanding all the details are indispensable to avoid potential issues that could delay a project, or worse, result in litigation. In matters of litigation or alternative dispute resolution, attention to forensic details and the procedural nuances unique to construction law, can make or break a case. This is especially true for large mixed-use projects, where you can have dozens of parties involved, multiple issues, and voluminous documentation that needs to be analyzed.
How does Bilzin Sumberg’s approach to construction law stand out?
In addition to possessing an industry-recognized Construction Law and Litigation Group that is deeply embedded in the South Florida real estate development and construction communities, Bilzin Sumberg houses leading land use, real estate, and government relations practice groups with accomplished attorneys whose practices are highly complementary to the Construction Group. Many sophisticated firm clients - particularly major developers - often need solutions that cut across these practice areas, and, they engage Bilzin Sumberg because all their needs are served comprehensively and seamlessly.
