Alexander G. Leon is an Associate in the firm's Construction Law Group. Alex's practice focuses on representing local and international owners and developers in the design, construction and development of a wide array of projects, including apartments, luxury high-rise condominiums, hotels, industrial, commercial/retail and affordable housing. He assists clients with project administration to identify and achieve early resolution of potential disputes. He handles the negotiation and preparation of construction agreements, professional design agreements, and developer agreements.

When disputes arise from design and construction agreements, including construction defect and delay claims, surety bonds, insurance coverage, construction liens and warranty claims, Alex represents clients in mediation, arbitration, and litigation of claims.

Alex has also represented condominium associations in insurance, construction defect, and contract disputes in State and Federal Courts throughout the State of Florida.

Alex is a graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he was the recipient of several merit based scholarships and a member of the Jessup Moot Court team.  Alex earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami. Alex is also a Miami native and fluent in Spanish.


Representation of the South Florida Stadium, LLC, an affiliate of the owner of the Miami Dolphins professional football team, in a lawsuit arising out of a $110 million change order submitted for the fabrication and erection of the rooftop shade canopy over the Hard Rock Stadium.

Representation of Bethune at West River, an income-restricted affordable housing project consisting of 160 apartment units and ground floor retail space located in Tampa, Florida, in the negotiation and preparation of its construction-related documents.
