Joint ventures present creative opportunities for clients and attorneys alike. As an attorney who regularly handles joint venture transactions from the stage of negotiations to closing, I enjoy the process of familiarizing myself with our clients’ business objectives and translating those objectives to a partnership agreement that documents the agreed-upon deal terms but also protects my client from scenarios that may seem farfetched at the time of signing. Joint ventures are unique from deal to deal and require inventive drafting to address business goals and concerns, the type of project and the economics of any given deal.
