Q & A
How do your military experience and training enhance your legal career?
Serving as a Marine Corps officer was an honor and privilege unlike no other. The intangible skills I gained from this experience have proven to be invaluable to my practice and our firm’s clients. For example, attorneys must exercise solid project management skills when handling multiple tasks simultaneously with conflicting priorities, demands, and timelines. The same is true for Marines. As a Marine officer, I gained tremendous confidence in leading Marines, managing conflicting demands, and working with others to creatively resolve issues. As an attorney, I use these same skills to identify issues, find solutions, overcome obstacles, and close deals for our clients.
What is your approach to becoming a successful real estate attorney?
I strive to be as well-rounded as possible to add value to our clients. Because the real estate market is dynamic and ever-changing, we must always be prepared to meet our client’s evolving needs and resolve unforeseen obstacles. I also enjoy the fast-paced nature of real estate transactions and the abundance of opportunities for professional growth. Every transaction presents unique challenges, and I enjoy working with our clients to devise creative strategies to help them accomplish their goals.
