Q & A
How does your professional experience outside of law help you in serving clients?
I’ve served as in-house counsel and in senior leadership positions for real estate investments firms, which gave me extensive insight into the day-to-day operations of the types of real estate organizations that are now my clients. When rendering counsel to these clients, I can incorporate broader business considerations into legal advice on critical contracts such as purchase and sales agreements. My experience as in-house counsel also gave me insight into what corporate clients want from their outside counsel.
What attracted you to working at Bilzin Sumberg?

Prior to joining Bilzin Sumberg, I worked closely with the firm’s attorneys, who were serving as outside counsel to the companies where I worked. In every instance, I was impressed by their outstanding professionalism, legal acumen, and consistent practice of going beyond the particulars of a given transaction to understand how a specific deal affected the long-term interests of the business. My first-hand experience with them as trusted counselors was an important factor in seeking to join the firm.
