Q & A
What do clients value about working with you?
Private funds, especially, appreciate my in-house experience. They know I understand the hands-on, day-to-day realities they face. When I negotiate an agreement between an adviser and its prospective new client, for example, they know I have taken into consideration what it will take, on a practical level, to properly implement the arrangements that are drafted.
Does your work take you across jurisdictions?
Regularly. I have significant experience with non-U.S. regulations, including in the European Union, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands, and Singapore. I have also done a significant number of cross-border transactions.
Do you collaborate with other Bilzin Sumberg practice groups?
Yes. In fact, the collaborative nature of the Firm was one of the things that drew me to Bilzin Sumberg. I have come to rely on my colleagues in the Real Estate and Tax practices, as well as those with deep experience handling joint ventures and commercial mortgage-backed securities.
