Q & A
What made you want to enter the legal field?
The initial reason was because I believe nothing is more important than earning another's trust and confidence.  Over time, that has evolved into being the person that others trust to simplify and resolve their most complex issues and achieve their goals.
What kind of challenges get you most excited at Bilzin Sumberg?
I look for solutions that are the best for the client, building on prior experiences, while working to develop creative solutions for clients.  We have great resources and talented attorneys, but our one office approach is unique and provides us the opportunity to be nimble and pool those resources together, not just across practice groups but across all facets of the firm to continuously develop new ways to better serve our clients.
How do you anticipate client needs?
I listen and then make every effort to understand my client's history, objectives and long term goals beyond any one deal.  This understanding and in-depth knowledge leads to anticipating the unexpected and truly collaborating with clients as a strategic partner.

EXPERIENCE
Representation of Miami Design District Associates, a real estate developer, in a $590 million international financing with a $490 million mortgage loan from lenders including major leading multi-national banks Deutsche Bank, Credit Agricole Commercial and Industrial Bank and Bank of China, and a $100 million mezzanine loan from a Blackstone affiliate.

“Our work frequently involves matters and parties from all over the world, but real estate is inherently local in nature and requires us to understand how a global issue can affect a single block.”
