Bilzin Sumberg Restructuring & Bankruptcy partner, Jay Sakalo, spoke at the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors' (AIRA) 28th Annual Bankruptcy & Restructuring Conference to be held in San Francisco from June 6 - 9, 2012.

During the four-day conference, experts covered various bankruptcy & restructuring topics including municipal defaults and Chapter 9, cross-border insolvency, foreign exchange and bankruptcy litigation issues and strategies.

Jay discussed accepted professional methodologies for distressed business valuation disputes. During his session, Jay and his fellow panelists reviewed recent case law addressing competing valuation experts, Daubert standards, admissibility of evidence, and the AIRA's expanded professional standards for experts and issuers of opinions valuing distressed and illiquid businesses.
