A. Vicky Garcia-Toledo to Serve on Florida International University's President's Council

Miami, Florida, February 13, 2009 - Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced today that Land Use & Government Relations Partner, A. Vicky Garcia-Toledo, has been nominated to serve as a member of Florida International University's (FIU) President's Council. Ms. Garcia-Toledo's nomination marks another success for the firm's Bilzin Sumberg Cares community giving program.

"Over the course of a relatively short time, Florida International University has grown from a small community school to one of national and international recognition, a strong beacon in the south Florida community and a major presence in the academic world," said Ms. Garcia-Toledo, who is a prominent member of the south Florida Hispanic community and 1979 alumna of Florida International University. "I am proud to be a part of history, and serve FIU as a member of the President's Council, a link between Florida's business and academic communities."

FIU's President's Council is comprised of business and civic leaders that act as ambassadors and advocates for FIU in the community, working to strengthen one of the most vital resources of the South Florida infrastructure. Through the contribution of business and life experiences, the Council's members seek to influence the future of thousands of bright young minds.
