Conflicts and Docketing Analyst

Description
Bilzin Sumberg is seeking a highly skilled professional to support both conflicts/client intake and docketing functions, with responsibilities split evenly between the two areas. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage time-sensitive, high-volume workflows while partnering closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff across the firm.
 
In the conflicts and intake capacity, duties include searching for potential conflicts in the firm’s databases and other sources, organizing and interpreting search results, and preparing and proofreading data and reports. The position entails handling large volumes of data, communicating with attorneys to clear potential conflicts, and obtaining information for client and matter openings. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency with MS Excel and online research tools. Experience with Intapp Open and Conflicts, Aderant Expert, and iManage is preferred but not required. A four-year degree or paralegal experience and major law firm experience are preferred. Knowledge and/or experience in Compliance and Risk Management is welcome.
 
In the docketing capacity, responsibilities include fundamental litigation docketing support such as receiving, reviewing, and calendaring court notices, orders, and filings; entering key dates and deadlines in the firm’s docketing system in accordance with applicable court rules; confirming rule-based calculations and triggering dates; monitoring and updating case calendars; generating and distributing docket reports and reminder notices to case teams; maintaining accurate matter records and ensuring timely updates for case events; escalating urgent or anomalous items; and coordinating with attorneys and paralegals to verify instructions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with jurisdiction-specific requirements and firm protocols. Experience with docketing systems and familiarity with federal, state, and local court rules is preferred.
