Description
Bilzin Sumberg is seeking a Senior Financial Strategist to operate at the intersection of finance, technology, and firm strategy. This role is designed for someone who will own the firm’s financial intelligence function and help guide leadership decisions around growth, profitability, and competitive positioning.

Strategic Financial Intelligence
Lead forward-looking financial modeling to support executive decision-making, including partner compensation, lateral hiring, practice investments, and capital allocation. 
Conduct scenario planning and predictive forecasting to provide insight into future performance. 
Identify opportunities to improve margins and optimize revenue through data-driven analysis. 

Technology & Data Innovation
Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards in Power BI focused on actionable KPIs. 
Drive adoption of AI-enabled forecasting and automated data workflows. 
Partner with internal teams to enhance the firm’s Microsoft Fabric and Data Lake ecosystem, ensuring data infrastructure supports strategic goals. 

Advisory Partnership
Serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Partner, COO, Chief Accounting Officer, and practice leaders. 
Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. 
Provide “what-if” analysis and financial guidance to support firm-wide planning. 

Experience
8+ years in financial analysis, FP&A, or related roles with increasing strategic responsibility. 
Demonstrated experience influencing executive-level decisions through financial modeling. 
Professional services or law firm experience preferred. 

Technical Skills
Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or similar BI platforms. 
Strong financial modeling and proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL required. 
Experience with AI tools, data automation, and scalable reporting solutions. 
Exposure to Python, R, or similar tools is a plus.
