Partner Throws Out First Pitch at Marlins-Mets Game

Miami, Florida, August 16, 2006 Albert E. Dotson, Jr., Partner in the Land Use & Government Relations Group at Bilzin Sumberg, threw the opening pitch at the Florida Marlins game against the New York Mets on August 3rd.

Mr. Dotson was invited to throw the first pitch in his capacity as President of the Orange Bowl Committee. Dolphin Stadium, which is the Marlins home turf, also hosts the FedEx Orange Bowl football game each year.

The Marlins scored a 4-3 victory over the Mets that night.

In addition to serving as President of the Orange Bowl Committee, Mr. Dotson is Chairman of the Board of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., an organization with over 10,000 members and 106 chapters across the world. Dotson's leadership has positioned the organization to focus on improving the quality of life and enhance educational opportunities for African-Americans while serving as a strong force overcoming the cultural and financial obstacles that have limited African-American youth. He is also Chairman of the Miami Dade College Foundation board of trustees, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Overtown Youth Center.
