Jason Z. Jones Elected Treasurer Of The Bankruptcy Bar Association Southern District Of Florida

Miami, Florida, July 30, 2007 The law firm of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced today that Jason Z. Jones, an Associate in the Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group, has been elected Treasurer of the Bankruptcy Bar Association Southern District of Florida (BBASDFL).

The BBASDFL is a voluntary bar association with membership that includes practicing attorneys and bankruptcy court judges. The organization strives to assist bankruptcy law practitioners and the public, by serving as a ready source of information on practice and procedure before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida, through activities such as Continuing Legal Education courses and coordinated pro-bono service efforts.

"Jason has been actively involved with the Bankruptcy Bar Association Southern District of Florida for more than five years. We are pleased that he has taken a leadership role in the organization, and we fully support his commitment," stated Scott L. Baena, Chair of Bilzin Sumberg's Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group.

Mr. Jones is involved in several other professional associations including the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelors degree, a Masters Degree in Accounting and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.

At Bilzin Sumberg, Mr. Jones practice encompasses a wide variety of bankruptcy and reorganization matters, including the representation of debtors, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, and creditors committees in business and personal bankruptcy cases, as well as representation of assignors and assignees in state law assignment for the benefit of creditors proceedings.
