Florida Trend's Legal Elite Names John C. Sumberg a Top Managing Partner
Miami, Florida, July 7, 2007 Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced today that the firm's Managing Partner, John C. Sumberg, was named a Top Managing Partner in Florida Trend's Legal Elite 2007. Mr. Sumberg is one of only nine managing partners in the state to earn such a distinction this year, and this marks the second year in a row that he has received this honor. Top Managing Partners are selected through balloting of the attorneys listed in the Legal Elite.
Mr. Sumberg is Managing Partner of the firm, leading the firm's business and strategic operations and taking an active role in the development of the firm and its attorneys.
In addition, he has a thriving practice which focuses on complex commercial real estate transactions, including those involving malls, mixed-use properties, condo-hotels, community developments, industrial properties and apartment complexes. His clients include large international and domestic real estate and development companies and national financial institutions.
A graduate of Yale College (B.A. magna cum laude) and Yale University (J.D.), Mr.Sumberg is actively involved in the community. He serves as a trustee for the United Way and is an honorary member of the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF). Mr. Sumberg is consistently recognized among peer rankings such as Chambers USA, South Florida Legal Guide Top Lawyers, and The Best Lawyers in America.
