Summer Associates Program Receives Harvard Endorsement
Miami, Florida, March 7, 2008 A mock real estate transaction program designed for summer associates of the nationally recognized Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP was selected by Harvard Law School to be adapted into a 90 minute seminar for its students.
The six week mock real estate program was developed by Adam D. Lustig, Partner, and Lorelei A. Schumacher, Associate for Bilzin Sumberg's Summer Associate Program. Mr. Lustig and Ms. Schumacher, both of the firms Real Estate Group, have been invited to conduct the seminar at Harvard.
Whereas most law schools offer programs that reinforce litigation skills, very few offer a hands-on program that teaches practical real estate transactional skills, commented Mr. Lustig. This program gives associates the opportunity to see all of the nuances of a real estate transaction from start to finish.
By teaching the real world skills needed to successfully complete a real estate transaction, Bilzin Sumberg has bridged the gap for its Summer Associates, commented Ms. Schumacher. We are pleased to have brought this innovative program to Harvard and are confident that students will find the lessons learned invaluable.
