Three Bilzin Sumberg Attorneys Finalists for Top Dealmakers of 2007
Miami, Florida, March 31, 2008 Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that three of its partners, Steven D. Lear and Robert M. Siegel from the Corporate & Securities Group, and Martin A. Schwartz from the Real Estate Group were finalists for the Daily Business Reviews Top Dealmakers of 2007 award.
Mr. Lear was a finalist for his representation of one of the nations largest homebuilders, Lennar, in its formation of a strategic land investment venture with Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funding II, L.P., and an affiliate of Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc.
Mr. Schwartz was a finalist for his representation of the lender in the structuring and negotiation of $88.6 million financing on Ten Museum Park, a 50-story mixed use building containing 200 residential units and a commercial portion consisting of offices, a spa and retail space located in downtown Miami, Florida.
Mr. Siegel and Mr. Lear were jointly named finalists for their representation of Lennar and LNR Propertys partnership, LandSource Community Development, in the formation of a joint venture with San Francisco-based MW Housing Partners. The joint venture used its combined assets to raise $1.55 billion in new financing.
The Top Dealmakers award is presented to lawyers and brokers who made the biggest, most significant and complex deals within the South Florida region.
