Mitchell E. Widom Awarded The Fundraiser Of The Year Award

Miami, Florida, January 26, 2009 Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced today that Litigation Group Partner Mitchell E. Widom has been awarded with the 2008 Fundraiser of the Year award by the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).

Mr. Widom, who currently serves as the Vice President of the Florida Chapter of the CCFA, is the co-founder and co-chair of the annual Gibraltar Private Keymorada Invitational Fly Spin Tournament. In 2008, the fishing tournament brought together more than 250 law firms from around the country to raise funds for the CCFA and Crohns disease research. In four years, the tournament has raised $1.3 million, making this the CCFAs most successful fundraising event in Florida and one of the most successful in the nation. In addition, the foundation recently named this the "Most Unique Event in the Country" at the CCFAs national convention in New York.

Mr. Widom is a civil trial attorney experienced in handling litigation involving insurance, bankruptcy preference and fraudulent transfers, construction, securities, professional malpractice, civil rights, class action issues and personal injury.
