Samuel C. Ullman To Be Honored At The Best Lawyers Anniversary Event
Miami, Florida, April 1, 2009 Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced today that Samuel C. Ullman, Partner in the firm's Tax Group, will be honored at the Best Lawyers 25th Anniversary event in Atlanta, Georgia, April 23-25, 2009. The event will celebrate the careers of 1,397 lawyers from around the nation who have been listed in the annual publication, The Best Lawyers in America, since it began rating lawyers in 1983.
Mr. Ullman regularly counsels clients on federal and state and local tax matters in business transactions, and has represented clients in entity selection, joint ventures and partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and business combinations. He also has substantial experience in tax issues related to tax-exempt organizations and bankruptcies, and regularly represents clients regarding tax controversies before the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities, as well as in federal and state courts.
Mr. Ullman is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Law Institute (Fellow), The Florida Bar's Tax Section (Executive Council member) and the American College of Tax Counsel (Fellow). He also serves as Adjunct Professor in the University of Florida's Levin College of Law, and regularly lectures on various tax-related topics.
