Mitchell E. Widom Selected as a Finalist for The United Way of Miami-Dade's Dorothy Shula Award
Miami, FL Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod is proud to announce that, litigation Partner Mitchell E. Widom was selected as a finalist for the Dorothy Shula Award for Outstanding Volunteerism. The award honors individuals whose volunteer work exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and whose commitment to improving the lives of others has left a lasting positive impact. Each year, the United Way of Miami-Dade recognizes individuals who selflessly donate their time and efforts towards community improvement and empowerment.
Mr. Widom's selection was based on his extensive involvement with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) and the Keymorada Invitational Fly-Spin Tournament. He serves as the Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Florida Chapter of the CCFA, an organization dedicated to finding the cure for these diseases. More notably, however, is his work with the Keymorada tournament, of which he is the co-founder and co-chair, the proceeds of which benefit the CCFA.
In addition to his work with the Keymorada tournament, Mitch regularly provides pro bono legal services for Lawyers for Children of America (LFCA) and Temple Beth Am while balancing a thriving litigation practice at Bilzin Sumberg. Mr. Widom concentrates his practice in civil matters with areas ranging from real property disputes to insurance coverage.
