South Florida After-School All-Stars Honors Bilzin Sumberg Partner Albert E. Dotson, Jr.

Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that Albert E. Dotson, Jr., Practice Group Leader of the Land Use & Government Relations Group, will be honored by the South Florida After-School All-Stars (SFASAS) organization on January 15th, 2011.

The organization will recognize Mr. Dotson, along with other prominent community leaders, for his dedication to promoting opportunities for at-risk youth in Miami-Dade County. SFASAS, a not-for profit organization, serves 28 middle schools around the country, providing free after-school programs for at-risk youth that include academic support, cultural enrichment, and health and fitness awareness. Community involvement is one of the core tenets by which Mr. Dotson abides. In addition to maintaining his legal practice, Mr. Dotson serves as the National Chairman of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., and sits on the Boards of Directors of several local non-profit organizations including the Alonzo Mourning Charities and the Overtown Youth Center. He is also a Trustee Member of the United Way of Miami-Dade.
