Melissa C. Pallett-Vasquez Honored With South Florida Business Journal's "40 Under 40" Award
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that Litigation Partner, Melissa C. Pallett-Vasquez, was honored as one of the South Florida Business Journal's "40 Under 40 Class of 2013."
The awards recognize the most dynamic individuals under the age of 40 who work diligently to contribute to their company's growth and to improve the local community. Winners were featured in a special section of the SFBJ highlighting fun facts about the honorees.
As Bilzin Sumberg's youngest partner, Ms. Pallett-Vasquez handles complex commercial litigation matters and has significant experience with international clients from Canada, Brazil and Venezuela. She provides pro bono legal representation to children who are victims of abuse through the non-profit organization Lawyers for Children America and was recently appointed to a three-year term on the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee for The Florida Bar. Ms. Pallett-Vasquez is also Vice-Chair of the Canada Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law.
Some lesser-known facts about Ms. Pallett-Vasquez are that her first job was a camp counselor, her fantasy job is to be the Travelocity roaming gnome, and when not in the courtroom or the office, Ms. Pallett-Vasquez is most likely to be found at the beach, playing with her two daughters.
