Mitchell E. Widom Selected To Leadership Florida's 32nd Annual Class
Miami, FL - Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that Litigation Practice Group Leader, Mitchell E. Widom, was selected to participate in Leadership Florida's upcoming 32nd Class, a prestigious eight-month training and development program that connects, educates and engages leaders to work together for the long-term benefit of Florida.
Beginning in September 2013, the 55-member class will attend a series of sessions held in cities across Florida and examine critical issues facing Floridians today. Environmental Practice Group Chair, Howard E. Nelson and Corporate & Tax partner, Marshall R. Pasternack, are past graduates of the Program.
Mr. Widom has a broad commercial trial practice with extensive experience in jury and non-jury cases and is consistently recognized by legal publications including Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation and The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Widom was named as a 2013 "Top Dealmaker of the Year" by the Daily Business Review for his work settling litigation related to the redevelopment of the Perry Hotel South Beach.
Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Widom is an active member of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's Executive Board of Directors. As founder and co-chair of the annual Sabadell United Bank Keymorada Invitational Fly-Spin Tournament, he has helped raise over $3.6 million to benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation since the fundraiser's inception nine years ago.
