Bilzin Sumberg Honored With Lawyers For Children America 2013 Pro Bono Award
Miami, FL - Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that the firm was honored as a recipient of Lawyers for Children America's (LFCA) John Edward Smith Outstanding Law Firm Award. Bilzin Sumberg was recognized for its exceptional pro bono service in providing high-quality legal assistance to abused, abandoned and neglected children and youth at LFCA's recent 15th Anniversary Advocacy Awards Luncheon.
In addition, Litigation attorney Jeremy C. Sahn received a John Edward Smith Outstanding Attorney Award for his ongoing dedication to protecting the legal rights of dependent children. Over the past seven years, Mr. Sahn has served as a volunteer attorney ad litem for a number of LFCA child clients. Currently, he is representing two young brothers who were removed from their mother for physical abuse, and advocating to ensure the boys receive all needed services.
