Jeffrey Snyder Recognized as Member of Inaugural Dade Legal Aid Leadership Academy Class
Miami, FL - At the May 1st's 2015 Annual Awards Luncheon, Bilzin Sumberg Business Finance & Restructuring Partner, Jeffrey I. Snyder, was presented with a Special Recognition Award by Dade Legal Aid/Put Something Back for his dedication as a member of Dade Legal Aid/Put Something Back's inaugural 2015 Leadership Academy. Members of the 2015 Leadership Academy were selected based upon their professional experience, leadership, and service to the community and were introduced by Chief Judge Bertila Soto of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit at the Reach for the Stars Luncheon on January 30th. Dade Legal Aid/Put Something Back provides a safety net of legal services to the neediest residents of Miami-Dade County, with the common goal of assisting vulnerable populations and families living in poverty without means to hire an attorney.
Last year alone, over 6,000 clients were served through Dade Legal Aid's team of staff and pro bono attorneys, law firm partnerships and law school stakeholders. Services offered include Family Law, Domestic Violence, Guardianship, Children & Foster Youth Advocacy, Non Profits, Legal Clinics, Venture Law, Housing, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure Prevention, Taxation, Veterans Legal Issues, Health/Income Maintenance, CLE Educational Trainings and Community Workshops.
In 2014, Jeffrey was one of only eight bankruptcy attorneys nationwide named a “Rising Star" by Law360, a top attorney under 40 whose accomplishments belie his age. He was also selected as one of 40 "up-and-coming" bankruptcy attorneys nationwide to participate in the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges' 2012 "Next Generation Program."
