Bilzin Sumberg Gives Back through Support of United Way of Miami-Dade
MIAMI, FL –Bilzin Sumberg hosted its annual United Way Week during November, part of the Firm's year-long campaign to give back to the community. The week-long celebration included daily activities designed to increase awareness and broaden participation in United Way of Miami-Dade. Among the events in which attorneys and staff participated were a bake sale, an ice cream social, a Bingo competition, and other contests. During a breakfast program, representatives from United Way of Miami-Dade explained how the organization serves the community.
Also in November and just in time for Thanksgiving, Bilzin Sumberg concluded a month-long food drive for donations of non-perishable food and hygiene items to present to local families in need through the United Way Community Cupboard Drive. In all, employees collected 16 large boxes of donations and nearly $5,000 to be contributed to Miami-Dade area food banks.
Bilzin Sumberg's United Way Week and participation in the Community Cupboard Drive are part of Bilzin Sumberg Cares, the Firm's community involvement program which provides opportunities for attorneys, staff and their families to work together to make a positive impact in the community in which we live and work.
