Robert M. Siegel Named to Florida Youth Orchestra Board of Directors
MIAMI, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce that Robert (Bob) M. Siegel, Partner and Chair of the Firm's Commercial Finance Practice, has been elected to the Florida Youth Orchestra (FYO) Board of Directors. With over 400 members and serving Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, FYO continues to be recognized as Florida's premier youth orchestra.
Since its founding in 1988 by Mr. Bob Weaver, for many years a well-known television personality in South Florida, the FYO has been providing the highest quality classical music education for young talented musicians, attracting ongoing interest, support and participation from community leaders.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Bob will have the opportunity to chart a course that will continue to profoundly impact the thousands of young musicians who are and will become members of FYO. Through his involvement with FYO, Bob will assist the organization in its mission to educate, inspire and build the self-esteem of musically gifted students, some of whom are at-risk, to become productive, caring and responsible adults, and to uplift South Florida's diverse community with quality music performances.
Bob concentrates his practice in commercial finance, debt restructuring and loan workouts. He is a frequent speaker and author within the financial services industry, serving as an editor on Bilzin Sumberg's Mortgage Crisis & Financial Services Watch blog and Homebuilder blog. Bob is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Business Law Section and the Legal Opinion Committee of The Florida Bar, the Miami Finance Forum, the National Law Firm Legal Opinion Advisory Board, and the Commercial Finance Association. He has been consistently recognized by Chambers USA for his transactional work in banking and finance.
