Bilzin Sumberg's Client Services Team is keeping you up to date with information on Miami 21 and the process of its adoption. As a service to our clients and friends, we share the following Client Alert.

The City of Miami is currently in the process of scheduling the adoption of Miami 21. A series of agenda items related to and/or part of Miami 21 are scheduled for the Planning Advisory Board (PAB) meeting of November 19, 2008. The recommendations of the PAB will be sent to the City Commission for adoption by two readings at public hearing. Currently, the tentative dates for the first and second readings are December 2nd, 2008 and in January of 2009.

The latest revision of the Code and Zoning Atlas were published on the City of Miami/Miami 21 website last Wednesday, November 5, 2008. You can access the November 2008 version at http://www.miami21.org/final_draft_code_November2008.asp. Miami 21 can substantially affect the development rights of properties in the City of Miami. Please keep in mind that due to the fluidity of the process, dates and schedules are at all times subject to change.
