Ellina Berdichevsky

Ellina Berdichevsky is a Partner in Bilzin Sumberg's Tax & Private Wealth Group. Combining her LL.M. in Taxation with her background as a Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive), Ellina counsels foreign and domestic high net worth individuals, families, closely-held companies, and publicly traded companies on a wide range of international and domestic tax matters. Her experience working with clients across this broad spectrum gives Ellina a unique perspective with which to provide value to her clients.
 
Among the areas of her practice for which she is most frequently engaged are matters involving the application of U.S. Federal income tax rules to U.S. taxpayers conducting business abroad or moving abroad, foreign nationals investing in or moving to the United States, and the utilization of foreign and domestic trusts in related strategies. Ellina has also assisted her clients with coming into compliance with U.S. tax and information reporting filing obligations, including clients with cross-jurisdictional ties and, often, penalty exposure. Lastly, Ellina regularly advises clients on structuring their domestic and offshore businesses, including matters involving the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act, qualified opportunity zones, qualified small business stock, and corporate reorganizations.
