Q & A
How does your training outside of law strengthen your practice?
My educational training in biology has been helpful for my environmental law practice because I can go beyond the letter of the law to understand the broader, long-term environmental issues that may affect a client’s project or development plans. An important part of supporting our clients goes beyond the strict mechanics of compliance to alerting them pro-actively about factors that may hinder smooth execution of a project or business strategy.
How does your personal connection to Florida add value to your practice?

I have invested a lot of my time personally in exploring Florida’s diverse ecosystems, understanding both the environmental and political sensitivities inherent in each of them. Clients value my passion for Florida’s unique nature because it translates into insight on the sustainability and practicality of their development plans outside of legal compliance issues.
