Corporate tax lawyers work as an integral part of a team guiding clients through all aspects of a commercial business transaction. This covers a wide and multifaceted arena of tax counseling that includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships, financing transactions, debt modification and restructuring, cross-border transactions, investment fund structuring and operations, and many others. Some clients will need advice on several of these areas for a single transaction. Every transaction has unique tax consequences and business risks. My goal as a corporate tax attorney is to help clients understand all the options they have, help guide them towards the solution that best suits their needs, and structure the transaction accordingly taking into account all of the complexities involved.
Bilzin Sumberg places a high premium on cross-collaboration across different legal specialties, which fosters innovative thinking and an exchange of ideas that ultimately benefits clients. This culture of cross-collaboration is precisely why sophisticated clients approach Bilzin Sumberg - the complexity of their needs requires different types of practitioners working together towards a common goal. Clients in turn appreciate the efficiency and efficacy of such seamless counsel.
