Q & A
What are the challenges that attract you to corporate law?
What draws me to corporate law is the intellectual challenge of helping clients navigate the full cycle of a deal, from initial strategy and due diligence to closing and transition. I thrive on the complexity of understanding how legal frameworks, business objectives, and human dynamics intersect to shape successful outcomes. My buy-side experience in particular has given me a unique perspective in how I advise sellers as they approach a transaction, and I enjoy translating that understanding into practical guidance for clients who may not have a traditional business background.
Is there something unique to practicing corporate law at Bilzin Sumberg?
What truly distinguishes corporate practice at Bilzin Sumberg is the firm's integrated, multidisciplinary approach and deep engagement across all practice areas rather than limiting corporate counsel to pure M&A work. At Bilzin Sumberg, corporate attorneys do not operate in isolation: we collaborate with colleagues in real estate, tax, finance, regulatory, litigation, land use, and more to tailor strategies that reflect the full complexity of each client's situation. That breadth means corporate matters at Bilzin Sumberg are informed by deep subject-matter expertise and holistic insight, allowing us to anticipate issues and deliver solutions that genuinely align with client goals.
