Why should a client hire you instead of another land use attorney?
I think clients value responsiveness, practicality, and strategic thinking. My focus is primarily on understanding the client’s broader goals and helping them navigate the approval process efficiently while anticipating obstacles before they become problems. Clients value my ability to effectively break-down and present complex land use and zoning issues that inform their development strategies down the line.
How was your practice evolved in the last few years?
The practice of land use and zoning law in South Florida is becoming more strategic and multidisciplinary as new real estate developments become more multifaceted with the region’s rapid growth. While my practice is rooted in understanding the comprehensive plans and zoning codes of Miami-Dade County and its municipalities, clients increasingly need guidance on political dynamics, multiplying stakeholder concerns, and niche areas like affordable housing policy. This means that lawyers are expected to be both legal advisors and problem-solvers throughout the entitlement process.
