Q & A
What do clients appreciate most about the way you approach their matters?
Most clients view my collaborative style as a big strength because it makes negotiating deals less contentious. As with all attorneys, my representation is focused on my client’s needs, but I believe it’s critical to be attuned to the interests of the other side because negotiating on the basis of mutual interest between the parties is much more effective than an adversarial mindset towards the opposite party.
What attracted you to Bilzin Sumberg’s real estate practice?
The opportunity to work on highly sophisticated and complex matters was the biggest draw for me. At Bilzin Sumberg, I am able to work with a variety of real estate assets with different types of parties. A great example is the commercial mortgage-backed securities servicing industry- a hugely important component of the real estate sector in which the firm is extensively engaged.
