Counsel to Largest Unsecured Trade Creditor of Steel Drum Manufacturer

Consorcio Internacional SA de CV

Counsel to Consorcio Internacional SA de CV, the largest unsecured trade creditor in the Evans Products chapter 11 case, which was filed in New Orleans, Louisiana. Evans Products was the largest manufacturer of steel drums in the Southeastern United States. On behalf of our client, we aggressively opposed management's efforts to sell the debtor's business for less than market value to an insider and participated in negotiating the Asset Purchase Agreement with the successful bidder, resulting in a four-fold increase in the distribution to unsecured creditors.
