Special land use counsel to real estate developer and investor based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We acted as special land use counsel regarding redevelopment of a Miami marina, performed extensive due diligence regarding land use, zoning, and environmental regulations, and handled the acquisition of additional land parcels. The issues presented concerned the impact of Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) regulations on a proposed warehouse facility that will house approximately 250 to 350 dry stack boat slips and maintain the existing 17 wet slips.
