Miami, Florida, January 15, 2008 The law firm of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced today that Partner and Practice Group Leader of the Land Use & Government Relations Group, Albert E. Dotson, Jr., was the opening speaker at last night's national Democratic Presidential Debate in Nevada.

"As Chairman of 100 Black Men of America, I am honored to have been part of such a historic occasion," stated Mr. Dotson, who represented the co-sponsor of the debate, "To have introduced the debate and the candidates was a truly special experience." Currently, Mr. Dotson serves as the National Chairman of the Board of 100 Black Men of America and is a founding member of the South Florida chapter of the organization.

This year, The 100 Black Men of America co-sponsored the two-hour debate with the Nevada Democratic Party and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to hear more from the candidates on issues relevant to minorities, including economic opportunities, education, health care, immigration and other tough issues. "There are glaring disparities in economic opportunities, education and access to health care that must be addressed by our next American president," Mr. Dotson said. "Statistics show us and our daily lives reminds us that these increasing critical issues can no longer be ignored by our nation's leaders."

Mr. Dotson is Practice Group Leader of Bilzin Sumberg's Land Use & Government Relations Group. Mr. Dotson has been a member of 100 Black Men of America for nineteen years, and is currently serving a second term as national chairman of the organization. Additionally, he is also integrally involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations in South Florida, including the United Way of Miami-Dade County, Alonzo Mourning Charities, the Orange Bowl Committee and the Alliance for Ethical Government. Mr. Dotson was also selected by the U.S. Secretary of Defense during the Clinton administration to participate in the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference.

The 100 Black Men of America was founded in 1986, and has since established more than 100 chapters around the country, with more than 10,000 members. The Atlanta-based organization has never before been involved in national politics, as it was in the groundbreaking Nevada debate.
