Mitchell E. Widom, Finalist for United Way of Miami-Dade's Community Service Award
Miami, Florida, June 24, 2008 Mitchell E. Widom, Partner in Bilzin Sumberg's Litigation Group, was selected as one of ten finalists for the 2008 Dorothy Shula Award for Outstanding Volunteerism. The annual volunteer award, given by the United Way of Miami-Dade, honors service to the South Florida community.
Mr. Widom currently serves as the Vice President of the Florida Chapter of the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) and is the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Gibraltar Private Keymorada Invitational Fly Spin Tournament, which has raised over $1.3 million for the CCFA in just four years. His involvement with the CCFA and the fishing tournament fundraiser were significant factors in his selection as a finalist.
