DBR Recognizes Bilzin Sumberg's Litigation Department in Antitrust Category

Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is proud to announce it was named Top Litigation Department of the Year in the Antitrust category by the Daily Business Review (DBR). The Firm will be honored at the DBR's Professional Excellence Awards Reception on May 24 in Miami.

Bilzin Sumberg was nominated for the Antitrust team's work on a $300 million settlement in LCD Antitrust Litigation, one of the largest antitrust litigations in recent history. The recovery equates to more than 200 percent of the clients' single damages and roughly three-fourths of the recovery for the entire class. The Firm was also recognized for representing opt-out plaintiffs in two ongoing antitrust litigations, one concerning CRTs (cathode-ray tubes) and the other focusing on capacitors.

Bilzin Sumberg is frequently recognized by a variety of legal publications, including Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, and The Best Lawyers in America. In December, Bilzin Sumberg was one of five national Antitrust Litigation finalists in the National Law Journal's third annual America’s Elite Trial Lawyers Awards.

Earlier this month, the DBR selected Managing Partner John C. Sumberg as one of the Distinguished Leaders in Law, Javier F. Aviñó was named an On the Rise honoree, and Albert E. Dotson, Jr., was chosen as one of three finalists for Attorney of the Year. The Attorney of the Year will be announced at the May 24 reception, where the other Professional Excellence Awards will also be given.
