Bilzin Sumberg's Jackie F. Gallego Recognized Among 2019 Excellence in Human Resources Award Recipients
Miami, FL- Jackie F. Gallego, Chief Human Resources Officer for Bilzin Sumberg, has been recognized with South Florida Business & Wealth's (SFBW) 2019 Excellence in Human Resources Award for her outstanding work to nurture talent within the firm and to develop firm-wide human resources programs. Candidates for the award were judged on their professional and community achievements, as well as demonstrated success in a leadership role.
With more than 25 years of experience in the area of human resources (HR), Jackie is responsible for the development and implementation of Bilzin Sumberg's HR initiatives, which include reviewing firm policies and procedures, overseeing employee performance management programs, integration and orientation programs, and benefits and retirement plans.
Working closely with attorneys, managers, and directors, Jackie helps recruit, select, and retain staff members. In partnership with LiveWell 1440, Jackie developed and implemented wellness initiative for staff to promote healthier habits in and out of the office. She also created and leads the firm's staff-based committee that meets regularly to discuss employees' interests and concerns.
Jackie actively participates in Bilzin Sumberg Cares, an employee public service program that provides opportunities for employees and their families to give back to the community through public service and charitable contributions. She also serves as the firm's United Way Campaign Co-Chair.
To maintain an active presence among her peers, Jackie is significantly involved with the Association of Legal Administrators and has been called upon to speak before professional groups on human resource related topics.
