Miami, FL – In collaboration with the University of Miami (UM), Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce the commencement of “Bilzin Sumberg University”. The inaugural 12-month leadership development program addresses competencies for Bilzin Sumberg partners to be successful today and in the future. The renowned faculty of the Johnson A. Edosomwan Leadership Institute at UM’s Herbert Business School serves as lecturers and facilitators of the program.
Bilzin Sumberg prioritizes the professional growth and development of its attorneys, investing in the next generation of leaders and equipping them with the resources to augment their success. Bilzin Sumberg University supports this goal by introducing fundamental leadership theories, providing examples of those principals in practice, and allowing participants to test how those principles can be applied and translated to their practice and their roles as leaders within the firm. The comprehensive program curriculum covers topics such as leadership in a hybrid/remote environment, building culture, and behavioral decision theory.
Bilzin Sumberg University is part of continuous efforts to support attorney development at the firm, and builds on offerings for training, mentoring and professional development for every level of practicing lawyers, including a mentorship program, an associate committee, the Academy for first year associates, and ongoing pro bono opportunities that strengthen practitioner skills.
