Brian S. Adler Elected Chairman of 2013 SAVE Dade Board of Directors
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that Government Relations & Land Development partner, Brian S. Adler, was elected Chairman of the SAVE Dade Board of Directors in 2013, an organization dedicated to promoting, protecting and defending equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Miami-Dade County.
As Chairman of SAVE Dade, Mr. Adler will lead the organization in initiatives including The Miami Appointments Project, aimed at appointing qualified openly gay people to serve on city, county, and state boards, panels, commissions, task forces and committees. Mr. Adler will also guide SAVE Dade in a domestic partnership project which seeks to implement policies that recognize the relationships of gay and lesbian people in all Miami-Dade County cities.
Mr. Adler has been an active member of the SAVE Dade Board since 2010. He previously served on the Policy and Lobbying Sub-Committee and served as Vice-Chairman in 2011 and 2012. To find out more about SAVE Dade, please visit www.savedade.org.
Mr. Adler focuses his practice on land use, zoning and environmental matters in unincorporated Miami-Dade County and various municipalities throughout South Florida. He represents developers and contractors in the permitting, platting, zoning, comprehensive planning and development processes, from application inception to representation at hearing. He is consistently recognized by legal publications such as Chambers USA, Florida Super Lawyers, South Florida Legal Guide and Florida Trend's Legal Elite.
Mr. Adler is a member of the Florida Atlantic Building Association's Legislative Committee and is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law Master's Program (LLM), where he teaches a planning and zoning course in the Real Property Development program.
