Lotus House Recognizes Bilzin Sumberg as 2023 Gala Honoree

Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce the firm has been recognized by Lotus House at their 2023 Annual Gala. The firm’s recognition comes on the heels of its extensive pro bono work that helped Lotus House establish the Children’s Village, which is a new children’s services building with expanded educational and therapeutic facilities, a preschool for children from Lotus House and the Overtown neighborhood, and an innovation and resource center, among other things.
Lotus House shelters more than 1,500 women, youth and children annually, making it the largest shelter for women and children in the country. Lotus House provides sanctuary, resources, and multi-faceted, comprehensive supportive services to help their guests successfully exit the shelter system and lead lives of greater opportunity.
Bilzin Sumberg has a longstanding relationship with Lotus House and has been a supporter since 2005. The firm’s Bilzin Sumberg Cares initiative often raises thousands of dollars to be used for back-to-school drives benefitting Lotus House. Bilzin Sumberg attorneys actively provide pro bono services to Lotus House and, in addition to the Children’s Village, recently helped Lotus House complete Lotus Village, a mixed-use campus with combined state of the art shelter facilities and supportive services.
