Builders Association of South Florida Recognizes Howard Nelson
Miami, FL - Bilzin Sumberg is proud to announce that the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF), the local affiliate of the Florida Home Builders Association, has awarded Howard E. Nelson with the Joseph G. Goldstein Legislative Leadership Award. This marks the second time Howard has received this prestigious award and reflects Howard's dedication and service to BASF.
Howard has more than 30 years of experience in environmental law and land development. He represents clients throughout all phases of the development process from site location through permitting and construction, as well as in permit appeals and defense of environmental enforcement matters. Howard also represents several national homebuilders throughout Florida and the eastern United States in pre-acquisition site analysis and post-acquisition remediation.
Established in 1944, BASF is the result of nearly 80 years of combined service to the building-trade association field in South Florida. It is one of 23 local and regional homebuilder associations affiliated with the Florida Home Builders Association, which is in turn associated with the National Association of Home Builders. BASF has a reputation for excellence in government affairs and has represented South Florida’s building industry by maintaining high standards in building through service to its membership and the general public.
